Deriving from the Islam tradition of praying on clean surface, it is said that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon HIM) began the practice by praying on a Khumrah, a mat constructed from palm leaves.  Flat woven rugs are made by tightly interweaving the warp and weft stands of the weaves to produce a flat surface with no pile.  Hence this hand woven rug, is produced by knotting strings of thread individually into the warps, cutting the thread after each single knot.  This rug woven from palm leaves.

This is the woven rug obtained from natural products and no colours are dyed and only the natural colour obtained.
