This is a meticulously handcrafted master work of The Holy Quran which took over 68 years (2 generations) for completion and is undoubtedly one of the most valuable possessions in the world. It comprises of II volumes weighing 110kg and once stacked its conspicuous ability of self-balancing unlike books which tend to slide. The preparation of paper and the sheets are in a very unusual way, marbled papers were created by dispensing drops of colorant onto the surface of water bath and running combs through the drops to create a pattern, a sheet of paper was then laid on the surface of the bath to absorb colours. After drying the paper was prepared to receive ink and paint with the application of a starchy solution that rendered the surface smooth and nonporous. A scribe then prepared his ink made his pens, and pressed guidelines into the paper. The design, needle crafting technology which is very unique, and with advancement in technology, this is something which is impossible to recreate where the verses cannot be scratched or erased in any manner. Verses appear in multiple hues of darker and lighter shades when viewed in direct or indirect light. Islamic scholars and archaeological experts have opined that this The Holy Quran has no rivals.
